Upgrade Your Old 3d Printer by Printing it Yourself

If you love making things then you love 3d printers, but its probably pretty safe to say that a lot of us don't have one. An open source project named RepRap is looking to change that. RepRap is currently driving the open source design and creation of personal 3d printers, so much so that there first 3d printer Darwin is capable of printing a more advanced 3d printer the Mendal. Yeah you heard that right, a printer capable of making parts for a better 3d printer to replace itself. Hey soon enough RepRap will have a printer capable of printing a full shirt, why not?!
RepRap printers sure beat using this modified HP printer to print your musings.
If you want to see more home built 3d printers, check out the Maker Faire in NYC Sep 26.
